Hello, I already have a ducted Trane system with an XL20i heat pump/AC unit. The system also has a natural gas furnace. This ducted system supplies a ~1,200 square foot living area of my house, all on the same level. My house has a finished attic, consisting of about 800 square feet, with no climate control.
I am considering a ductless unit for this finished attic, and I am wondering if it's possible to tie into my existing XL20i outdoor unit instead of purchasing a separate outdoor unit?
