Can I work on ac units without my refrigeration licence? Ontario

In school right now planning on getting my g3 obt3 and eventually g2 obt2. Wondering what il be doing in the summer though. I want to get into a refrigeration apprenticeship but il need time to pay off my current schooling. What will I be doing in the summer with a g2 licence?
