Hi all. I'm an air conditioning noob. I'm trying to assess the performance of the air conditioning unit in my apartment. The temperature seems OK, but when I compare it to a similar unit in a friend's apartment, mine is definitely weaker. What spec(s) though should I evaluate though to ensure they are comparable units in the "blowing strength" department? I think I want to compare the BTU's (BTU/Hr?) of each unit, but need to confirm. Here are the (hopefully) relevant specs I've gathered from the side of each unit:
My Unit
- Samsung ASK13WJWE
- Cooling capacity 3600 W (12,023.89 BTU/Hr)
- Power consumption: 1,100 W
Friend's Unit
- Daikin FTE12hv2s
- Cooling capacity 3600 W
- Power consumption: 1075 W
I've tried to verify these numbers online, but I am located in Thailand, and I've had a hard time finding spec websites for either of these
Before I proceed to my landlord, I just want to make sure my unit should be blowing with the strength of my friend's unit. I could also do some more tests, like run my A/C for a couple hours, taking meter readings before and after. I can do that both in my apartment and in my friend's apartment. It's not unheard of in Thailand for landlords to use a 'fast running' meter.
Thanks in advance.
