Trying to find a solution to help cool my room. Allow me to expain.

I live in Ohio, where the weather really is unpredictable. When it's hot, it's hot, but can go down to 70 the next day. My house does not have central air, and I have a one window bedroom I want to keep cool.

My dilemma is, I usually use a fan, because it is sometimes cool at night, or the weather does not stay consistently hot and I like fresh air. I don't fare well in the heat, so as it gets more consistently hot, I want to stay cool, but have the option of fresh air with a fan when it is not so hot. This is why a window AC is such a hassle, because I have to use it even when at night when it's around 70 and I prefer a fan, because it's either use that or have a stuffy room. I only have one window.

Any suggestions to get the best of both worlds? Is there a window AC that can act as a fan and pull air in from the outside?
