I just purchased a 2,059 square foot house with a Rheem rakb-036jaz (I think it's a 3 ton). The furnace/fan is a Rheem Super Quiet 80, and I have a Honeywell Wifi Thermostat. The outside temp is about 88 degrees, and when I am downstairs, the temp is set at 69 degrees and it is almost pleasant. However, when I am upstairs it barely seems cool at all. Once I moved in, I replaced the filter coming out of the furnace, and removed a filter that was located in the return vent - per our inspection, I was told both filters were not necessary. Is there anyway the ducts could just be dirty, or is the AC unit just too small?
