This started happening yesterday. Summer in Florida is brutal and I do not have money for A/C repairs!
I have an older Rheem compressor, just had the freon filled up about one year ago. It was working fine until yesterday when it just started blowing warm air. I cleared out the drain line, made sure the compressor is running, and that the filter is clean.
The weird thing is if I leave it off for a while and turn it back on, it starts to blow cold air again. Almost like it's overheating and then needs to cool down before it can cool air again.
Any ideas what I could check on my own?
