So I'm renting a townhouse in the Appalachia region of Virginia, so hot, humid summers, really cold winters. The bathroom with the shower is not vented but it does have a small window, which I believe is code. No obviously previous tenants have not been opening the window when showering because there is obvious water damage to the drywall. I always keep the window open when showering to let the moist air out, however I'm concerned about winter when it will be bitter cold and I'll be taking a shower at 6am. Is opening the window my best option or should I guilt the landlord into venting the room?
Thanks
