Bought a house that has an older boiler - replace or not.

A couple of months ago we bought a house that was built in 1987. The house has a Weil-Mclain he6 series 3 boiler (probably also made in 1987 according to the serial). It works great, no complaints. The water heater was installed in 2005 and so far it works well too.

When should I replace the unit? It works, but it's about 30 years old.

I got a quote from a local contractor and he proposed 2 options:

CGi-6 - $10430 installed

ALP-150 - $12790 installed

Those prices seem very high to me (Staten Island, NY). And now I am not so eager to replace, I just don't want to get stuck cold in winter.

Not greatest pictures, just something from my phone:
