My brothers friend gave me a call to say that his unit isn't cooling his house very well. He said that the suction line is cold and sweating but his house isn't all that cool. I asked him if he has changed his filters or had his condenser coil cleaned recently. He said he cleaned the coil but he couldn't remember the last time he changed the filter on it. Then I asked him when's the last time he had it serviced and he said not since he built the house four years ago. I told him that I thought it was low refrigerant and needed a shot of it. Was I right in doing so?
