Kind of as the title states. From the recent rainy and humid weather I've had, I wanted to clean my AC filter and found that the vents and inside had some mold growing in it. I can clean the filter easily but I was wondering what I can be doing to clean the inside and vents? The caveat is that despite being window AC unit, because of the window size it was drilled, screwed, and caulked in as a permanent fixture so I can't remove it. I searched and saw that alot of responses have been to take it down and hose it out but I can't exactly do that.
I have called my landlord but I've been told that he can't come in or call someone in until the middle of the week and i just want to clean it out myself. It's worrying because I have been somewhat sick lately and I usually keep that AC on most of the time since it's so hot and humid.
