Hi all, I am using a portable AC unit to cool my basement apartment. It's currently on top of my fiances dresser as it is the only way to have the exhaust hose reach the window. Recently, it began dripping water in the middle of the night from the bottom of the unit. Thought maybe something was clogged, sprayed some canned air into the condensation drip spout and called it a day.
It laughed in my face and kept leaking.
I took the rear off the unit to see if I could get to the bottom of the matter. After running for maybe 10 minutes, everything was soaked with condensation and the... radiator looking thing (I'm a flooring guy all this stuff is foreign to me)... underneath it is filled with water. It looks like it should drain out of it but it kept building up. Should the radiator part even be getting wet??
Everything I read online just says "clean the evap coil" or "you have a clog" - I thought I didn't until I saw that buildup of water inside the unit.
Anyone have an idea on what to do? Where could the clog be and how would I go about getting rid of it?
