I've heard mixed answers. I live in the top floor of a 3 story apartment building and the temperature is getting up around 95 during the day. It's always hotter in my apartment by 5+ degrees so if I leave it off it'll get up to 100+ by the time I get home. I've been told that turning it off will cause it to use a lot more power to cool it back down at night than to just set it at 85 before I leave and lower the temperature back to 77 when I get home. Can anyone give me a definitive answer on this?
