Lennox Compressor Coil in Outside Unit Service Question

I need a new coil for the outside unit, apparently I am one of the lucky ones that gets a bad coil. It’s a Lennox unit and thankfully the parts are under warranty. My question for HVAC techs and anyone who knows more than me (most everyone) about AC units is this: how long should I have to wait, once the leak has been identified, for the part to be ordered and installed? The leak was found on 7/11, I assumed it was understood that I wanted the part ordered at that point, and was told to call on Monday (7/18) to (again, what I thought) schedule a time for the tech to come and replace the coil. I called on Monday when they open and was told I would get a call back, I did not. I called again on Tuesday when they opened, and again in the afternoon when I never got a call. I was finally called at 5pm on Tuesday and told that I needed to approve the part being ordered after getting the quote. I approve the order of course, I’m in Michigan and it’s extremely hot and humid right now, but I am frustrated it took so long to get the quote after they came out. I forgot to ask when the coil would be in so I called in the morning and left a message and called again when I was able to right before they were closing. The coil isn’t expected to be in until Monday or Tuesday of next week. I am not running the unit because the coolant leaks out so fast and I, and my husband work, so we aren’t able to make sure the air coming out is cold. I have two dogs that are very uncomfortable right now.

Thank you for any comments and advice.
