Just wanted to see what kinda foot wear some of you wear while working the service side of the trade. Most the techs I've seen and/or worked with wear just regular old tennis shoes. I kinda get why, as boots tend to be heavy, hot and more than likely harder on your feet. My main concern with tennis shoes is the lack of protection. Guess therein lies the trade off.
I've tried on some mid ankle (6"?) keen detriot's and some danner's, both of which are steel toe, but didn't care for how the toe felt while kneeling in them (which you do alot of in this line of work.)
Wondering if there is a good tennis shoe out there that offers boot like protection, but still comfortable and pleasant to work in.
Your thoughts?
