Hey HVAC-ers!
New to this subreddit, but I was hoping for some help or insight.
We own our house in Scottsdale, AZ (yes, it's hot) and we have a Goodman Central air/furnace. When we had the home inspected before purchase our inspector was telling us something regarding a tray - it should in when the air/heat is on and out when the air/heat is on. But we can't remember which one - in for air? Out for heat? House cools fine in two bedrooms with either scenario - but the living kitchen area doesn't cool as much. We think it might be due to said tray.
Any idea when it should be in or out? Pictures below.

Appreciate the feedback!
