Window A/C Unit Issues

Wondering if anyone has suggestions or insight regarding some issues I've been having with my relatively new (1 month old) window unit.

I Recently moved to NYC and bought a Frigidaire 5,000 BTU window unit. I realize this is low BTU but my bedroom is <100 square feet. When I moved in the A/C was great, served its purpose and then some. However there has been a noticeable dip in cooling power and it is no longer serving me sufficiently.

I was wondering if anyone had any insight on what the problem might be...or if perhaps units of this caliber (only costed $120) always dip in performance after a bit of use? Here is some additional clarifying information:

• I usually run the A/C all night while I sleep, however it's never on when I'm at work (45+ hour work weeks). I figure one possibility is that I overworked the unit, but the model's reviews were good online so I assume it's fit for overnight usage.

• I changed the filter and that did not improve cooling ability

• There are no obstructions around the unit either inside or outside of the window, and is still very clean.

• There has been a slight increase in outdoor temp since I moved in (mid 80's to low/mid 90's). However the issue is not just that the room isn't as cool as it once was, more over you can feel the air stream is not as cold if you stand right in front of the unit.
