So my AC stopped blowing cold air and started blowing hot air. The blower fan inside was running as well as the condenser fan outside. The condenser was not. It was about 100 degrees out heat index wise with very high humidity. When the HVAC guy came, said the freon was fine, then he replaced the capacitor and put a super booster on as well which it did not have before. The condenser kicked on and everything worked. Though 20 mins later the condenser kicked off but he got it working again rather quickly. He said he would return in the morning to switch out the capacitor as while the one he put on will work fine it wasn't the same size so the mount didn't fit it. He never came back and 2 days later the AC stopped again. This time nothing outside turns on. I can hear the capacitor click but now not only does the condenser not kick on but now the fan outside won't either. I called and left a message with the HVAC tech and 4 days later his secretary or whatever calls and says he can't help me. Tells me I need to get ahold of Bryant if it's under warranty. Also when he left my house after the original visit he wouldn't accept any money. (which he had an 80 dollar diagnoses fee that is supposed to be paid at visit) Anyway that's where I am now. Capacitor clicks and that is it. The contactor outside won't push in at the part that is supposed to push in when the AC is turned on. I'm wondering what my next course of action should be. I did take out and clean my blower fan /motor because I had read that poor airflow could activate a killswitch. But it didn't seem to have any impact on the issue. The ac unit is only 5 years old. It was about 93 degrees out with a heat index of 107 the second time it quit working. This is a bryant condensing gas furnace 340AAV. The outside unit is 113ana036-e.
