Hello!
Just moved into a new apartment and there is no central air and lots of windows (heat/cooling loss). The kitchen is right off of the living room, the bedroom right off of the living room as well. We placed a 12,00 btu window unit in the living room which cools the whole place nicely, but in order to do so, it runs 24 hours even on energy saver mode. Would it be more cost effective to buy a smaller (5,000 btu) window unit to place in the bedroom for night time, so the unit in the living room can be switched off at night?
