The central heating in my building was broken for a few of the units, including mine. The maintenance guy came in and said it's probably because the boilers were low, so they had to refill them. The next day, it was working for other people but mine still wasn't. It remained broken for 4 days. Finally, the maintenance guy called his supervisor, who came in and looked at it. They left me a message saying that the freon was low so they refilled it.
Now, ever since they refilled the freon, things have been weird.
- It is definitely warmer now, but I still feel chilly (and need a sweater) unless I set the thermostat to max heat (85).
- Once it is 85 for a while, I feel lightheaded and dizzy and weak. It is similar to the symptoms you get if you sit in a sauna for a while. HOWEVER, my actual body doesn't feel very warm. It is very strange it is like I was getting the mental effects of the heating, but not the body effects.
I have been feeling this lightheadedness and fatigue for about a week and started to notice that it happens whenever I set it to 85 and leave it for about an hour. It is WORST in the mornings when I wake up after keeping it at max heat all night.
The maintenance guy came back and looked at the system and said the green light is on and things look good and he doesn't see a leak so there should be no issue (he did not open it to look at the A-coil because he said only the contractor can do that).
So now no one in my building believes me, everyone keeps telling me the maintenance guy said it is fine so it should be fine. But I know the symptoms I feel were real.
What should I do?!
