Really Quick So I Don't Blow Myself Up: Will This Propane Gas Fitting Work?

Hey all, need 3 appliances off a tank, each will run by itself, one at a time.

I am making the fittings, trying to avoid links with tape and pipe dope seal. I believe everything is standard 3/8".

So like, can a female flare be used without leaks with a regular male black iron pipe, either doped or taped?
