Home condensation hose type/suggetions

I'm looking to replace the hose that carries condensation water away from my AC when it runs. Currently the hose only carries it part of the way to the drain, then runs the rest of the way on the basement floor.

I'm thinking of running it straight across from the furnace, between the washer and dryer, then following the wall to the floor drain. At least it will be as out of the way as possible. That will require about 25 ft of hose with a 1 inch inside diameter. However, when I priced out vinyl hose at Home Depot it seems like it's going to cost $40-$50 for that length hose, which seems crazy expensive for the little amount of water it will carry.

Am I using the correct hose for this application? Is there a better or cheaper solution I'm not seeing? Thanks in advance.
