Honest opinion, Ductless Heat pumps in the Northwest. (Mini split)

What's everyone opinion on Ductless heat pumps? I have decided on the most reputable installers in my city and they sell/service/install either Fujitsu ductless mini splits, or York ducted systems.

I have two different quotes from them, $8,900 (Canadian) for 3 ton , 4 head mini split. - Fujitsu -, or $16,500 (Canadian) for 2.5 ton York ducted system, my house currently has no duct work and is purely heated by electricity and electric baseboard heating.

Installers have told me I can actually except more monthly savings on my eletric bill due to mini splits being more effective and cost efficient then ducted systems, I can turn off heads in rooms that I want no heating/cooling in at any time vs ducted system that will run then entire house.

The advantage to the ducted system is it would have conditioned my crawl slightly better (I am in a rancher), and they have a more "Legitimate" control system via wall thermostats which was something I was hoping for more traditional control. The mini splits have not really caught up in that aspect.

But the initial savings on the system, plus the promised even greater savings not only from the company telling me but from my internet research I decided to go with the mini split.

Others opinions greatly appreciated! thanks
