Upstairs is Death Valley, while our downstairs is Antartica. Each floor has its own HVAC.

Downstairs AC is working well. But the upstairs AC is massively underperforming. Leaving both units on all day, with a ceiling fan in the foyer to circulate upper and lower air does little to cool the upstairs. Downstairs is 66, upstairs is 75 and rising.

-property manager came over a couple months ago and put these ill-fitting filters under the grilles of our return air "vents" -- I say vents, but they are the size of a manhole. If the downstairs HVAC didn't work so well, I'd blame the filters for the change in performance. A correlation based on timing could certainly be drawn...

Going to call a pro, but felt last one didn't really listen and just "recharged" and left. What can I ask for or say that will ensure improvement is made?
