I am considering buying a house that has central air and propane heat. The AC system is a modern Bryant outdoor unit and indoor air handler, installed just a few years ago. For whatever reason, the homeowner opted for AC only instead of AC and heat. Can a reversing valve be added to get heat from the system as well (with the propane kept as backup) or would this not be possible/practical?
