Changing R22 unit to R410a. Same ton unit?

Hi all, I am about to change my 3.5 ton, 13 year old, Goodman AC unit out with a new 14 or 16 SEER unit. I'm getting conflicting advice from companies that I am getting quotes for, and could use your advice. Should I stick to a 3.5 ton unit if I currently have a 3.5 ton unit when I switch to R410a? I'm hearing yes and no and that there are temperature differences with the newer units. A company want's me to go with a 4 ton since we like to keep it at 70 degrees at night here in Florida, but another company says to keep it at 3.5 tons since that's what I have now. Also, the company that wants me to go 4 ton, also wants me to keep my current 3/4 lines and the other company want's me to replace them because they will be too small for the new unit. Can anyone shed some light here?

Thanks!
