Issues With High Efficiency Gas Furnace Condensate?

I just had a full home HVAC installation completed. Ducts, high eff natural gas furnace (94-95%?), ERV and central air conditioner were installed. Problem is they have vented the furnace out the side of the house and put the central ac unit below it. I'm assuming this is a bit of a no no, but space (windows/intake locations/etc) may have caused a bit of a restriction on placement.

Now that AC season is behind us and the furnace is being used, I see condensate from the 636 exhaust pipe dripping onto the AC unit. I have heard that this condensate is acidic and was wondering if this will cause an issue that should be avoided? If so, will a simple cover on the top of the AC unit suffice? I know you are generally not supposed to cover AC units, but maybe just putting something over the top and not the sides? Thoughts?

Also, I also read somewhere that you should be careful with the condensate going into a septic system. Is that also true?

Thanks!
