What is the best way to have your Inverter A/C to work for heating in terms of efficiency?

Should I have it on all the time in a low temperature like 17-19 C or should I turn it on when I come home from work and keep it a few hours until it heats the house well, and the turn it off? I live in a city where temperature is usually below 14 C which means it can get really cold at night.
