So I have a pretty old house with no central air system. I had to get by this summer with a few window units, but it was pretty unbearable in my home.
So I got a couple quotes to install a whole system (ducts and all) and they were just way to different to make a choice yet.
A little about my house- I have a boiler with radiators in the walls, great heat keeps the house nice and warm. House is about 1500 sq feet, one level with a full basement, with 3 bedrooms, one bathroom, large living room/dining room, and a family room that was an addition (so no basement under it).
So I need a baseline on how much it should cost to get done. One quote was for about 6k and the other who wanted to install a unico system in the attic, wanted a shocking 17k.
These quotes were just very different. I'm in the process of getting another quote soon, but what do you think Reddit?
