My furnace was installed with the gas line running right in front of the limit switch location requiring me to slightly bend the 7" limit switch to get it installed. I'm not sure if this is the reason I have to replace the switch at least once every winter, but that's what I've had to do for the past 3 winters. I have two questions. First, would me slightly bending it cause it to malfunction, and can I put a 3" switch in there instead.
