I'm trying to figure out how to stop water from leaking from the evap coils (I think that's what it's called... big thing with radiator fins and metal tubes coming out) and onto my floor. See pics here: http://imgur.com/a/M2lCN
Not sure how old the A/C is, but the furnace below it is only 1.5 years old. Both have the Goodman name on them. I just bought the house last August, and I don't remember water leaking out of the furnace area last year but I also wasn't down in the basement much to see it. Anyway, the drain pan is almost completely dry, so I don't think it's an issue with a clogged pipe or anything. Is it possible for the evap coils to be installed poorly, so that water from them is dripping outside of the drain pan? Seems like a pain to get around to the back side of the coils to get a better look, because there is some electrical wiring screwed into the left side of my A/C and gas lines attached to the right side, so I'd like to have an idea of what's wrong before just taking everything apart.
