I have a Nordyne FEHB-015ha electric furnace that has been derated by an electrician to 10kw. The furnace ran fine last winter after the electrician disconnected the 5kw coil. It started acting up last week.
The furnace stays on at low speed after the heating cycle completes. It continues to blow hot air at low speed and won't shut off. I put an ohmmeter on the clips and got resistance of 291ohms on the 10kw sequencer and 40ohms on the (previously disconnected) 5kw sequencer.
Am i on the right track here thinking the 10kw sequencer needs to be replaced? pics. Would derating the furnace have anything to do with this problem?
