We have a customer who is getting an addition put on their home, they have a cast iron boiler now with all copper piping and base board radiators. Our plan is to replace the existing boiler with a larger one and add another loop for heat the addition. They also have well water in this house, but they do have a water softening setup. Is well water okay to add to our new boiler or is there some kind of additive or treatment that should be but in the water to prevent corrosion or sediment buildup?
