Cannot find anything on Google which normally normally means I might be going at it the wrong way but I want to see if anyone has ever seen or heard of a similar issue. Out here in Phoenix and my Parents and I both put up brand new Trane rooftop heat pump units about 4-5 years ago. Mine is running flawlessly outside of a blower motor two years ago. My parents has been a pain since the start. They are now looking at thier second inside coil replacement. First one went at 14 months and now second one is leaking again at about the two year mark from replacement (we don't use them year round).
Here is the kicker- Trane says it is off-gassing from the wood floors that went in about 3 years ago that is doing it. High end, real wood floors.
No other issues from the ac unit or wood floors in the house with two older people. Could they be onto something or are they trying to avoid paying?
