Would this be an issue for an electrician?

I’m located in TN ~4 year old Goodman self contained unit Model/serial: GPC1336H41CA; 1405661296

I hope this is the correct sub for this problem. I’d like to get an idea of who I should call first and educate myself before having someone over if it’s a simple solution.

The problem is once last winter the unit started blowing air after temp was reached. Only the breaker would turn it off. So we left it off. After a few days, we turn the breaker on and the air worked properly. Now it’s happened again this winter almost identically.

As an aside, this past summer we had to replace the evaporator coil due to a leak. Seems unrelated to the winter problem but we have only been in the home less than 2 years and have had these 3 things crop up.

Now, because it self corrected last year, we thought it a fluke and never had anyone come out and diagnose. The thermostat is as old as the unit. Does this sound deeper than a thermostat malfunction?
