Hello everyone, so with the hot days coming around I've turned to my ac to cool my apartment down the past few weeks. However, it now appears to be malfunctioning. It's a general electric, model #AHH08LWW1 wall unit. It will turn on for about 5 seconds with every light on, then turn off and instantly turn back in with that reoccurring cycle for as long as it has power. The little safety thing on the power cord isn't flipping at all unless I manually push it. Probably going to call nearest GE for help, but I might as well give reddit a try first. If you have any advice that might help, I'd much appreciate it as I'm not exactly a technical wiz when it comes to ac units.
