Looking for small but powerful fan for unconventional setup (see desc).

Sorry ahead for the wall'ish of text.

Recently refinished my attic and now the staircase going up from the main floor is open (where before it was walled off and had a door to access downstairs). As part of the refinishing of the house I had central forced air system put in and we now have HVAC throughout the house. The problem is I didn't think everything through and the upstairs landing (roughly 4'x 6') doesn't have a register (the installer really sucked in helping figure things out since the upstairs was not finished during installation). Since the staircase is open all the heat from the main floor just collects at the apex of the ceiling there leading to the landing reaching over 90F. Now since all the walls were pretty much sealed at this point I was very limited in options. I did manage to pass a flexible 3" vinyl (think similar to dryer vent) conduit down to the basement. The catch here is that there's about 40' of conduit with multiple bends.

For now I put a 24VDC marine bilge exhaust fan but it's really fighting to pull air out. There's just too much resistance. (I think you guys refer to it as static pressure). Also this fan needed me to build a circuit board with some big ass capacitors since it pulls a large amount of amps on start.

This is the fan I'm using... https://www.amazon.com/attwood-1731-4-Attwood-Blower-3-Inch/dp/B001O0DE8K

So finally my question... What fan can I use in it's place, something line voltage if possible but if not I can work around, that is 3" (or 4") and can handle a pretty large resistance on the line.

Thanks for the help guys.
