I've was sent out to this magik oak unit last week. The inside coil was freezing up. I saw the section of coil that pushes air to the outside was pretty dirty and ended up using some coil cleaner which got rid of a lot of debris and also did the section inside the unit. I started it back up and whereas before the unit would begin frosting up right away my entire rest of visit it was fine and the air exiting the registers was noticeably colder. I wanted to check the pressures but the way this unit is set up I can't hook up my gauges as one of the ports is deep behind the coil inaccessible to reach. I spoke with their tech support and they told me that the unit is designed for a building maintenance tech to remove the whole inside and be able to swap it out for a working one while he rebuilds the old one in the basment in his "maintenance shop". This is not an option for me as I obviously don't have a spare unit. Has anyone else worked on this model before?
