Hey you wonderful people here on r/HVAC, hope you all had a memorial day weekend with minimal calls!
Today I have a huge job opportunity in front of me and I don't want to mess it up, it's an offer for a maintenance tech position and I want to make sure I have all the knowledge I need before sitting down for my interview. So I know the basic things you need to do during a clean and check because I have done quite a few but I want to double check with the hive mind here to see if there is anything I may not to do during a normal maintenance.
- Check pressures/ subcooling/ superheat
- Check voltages going to fan motor and condenser.
- Check evap coil for dirt dust or oil
- Check drain pan for condensation and suck out drain line.
- Check all filters in the house, change if needed.
- Check airflow throughout house and pull temps from the registers.
If there is literally anything y'all can think of to add to this please let me know, I'm trying to be the best tech I can be for my family!
TLDR: Need additional tips or steps for residential maintenance.
Thanks so much guys.
