So my Trane AC (XL15i) apparently has a bad fan motor. Was installed in 2009 by previous homeowner and has a 10 year parts warranty.
Well, apparently went home ownership changes, the warranty drops to 5 years. Anyone know about this, or is my service company BSing me? Seems like utter bullshit by Trane to change warranty terms of a product when simple ownership changed.
Also, anything to look for with regard to this motor? I'm technically inclined but on the computer side, not HVAC. I just want to be sure I'm not being hosed here. Thanks!
