I have an older central air conditioning unit, it was working fine for the season so far (im in FL), today I went out and while i was out, i noticed the power must have went out in the house, as the microwave was flashing PF... this happens quite a bit in florida when it rains for some reason... anyways, it was working fine when i left.. I come home and i notice its hotter than usual, i had the temp set at 80 and the house was 85... outside unit was running fine, just the fan in the attic was not running. I shut it off, checked the power breakers, all were OK, as if they had not been tripped. I shut the AC off at the thermostat, just tried to put the house fan on, and it's dead. I know sometimes people say to check the pan to see if water had pooled up in the overflow pan, which could shut off the unit but its dry. If anyone can advice what this may be, thank you in advance.
