I'm a screenwriter looking for some feedback on a plot point involving HVAC. Hoping you can shed some light.

Hey all,

I am a total newbie to HVAC. No clue how it really works but I want to be authentic in my screenplay.

I'm writing a bank heist film where the robbers need to get the cash out of the bank while the cops are outside.

An idea I came up with was breaking into the HVAC system and dumping the money in there. The system would suck up all the money which would get caught in the filter, shutting down or blocking the cold air (making the bank hotter) and the robbers could come back the day after the robbery and gather the money from a vent on the roof.

Is this plausible or realistic? Would the money reach an outer exhaust port or be stuck inside at some filter?

Would this cause a fire or explosion or just break the AC?

Thanks for helping, I appreciate it. :)
