"I don't know what to tell ya..." is what the maintenance guy told me when he came to check my AC for the third time. This was his reason for the apartment not cooling down. I'm not convinced that's the issue. Sure it is contributing to the apartment being hotter, but not to the AC taking 2-3 hours to be cooled down by 1 degree when it's 1:31 at night.
I live in Florida. Recently moved to the 2nd floor in an apartment complex in Orlando. Each maintenance guy at the complex tells me there's nothing wrong.
There's a few things that I feel aren't right.
-
As mentioned before, it takes an incredibly long time for the AC to even move down a degree or two.
-
The vent in the bedroom blows a suitable amount of air, but it's never "cold".
-
The other vents are barely blowing any air out and if they do it's luke warm.
Am I crazy to want my apartment to get to the set temperature? Even hours after its set to a lower temp it hardly moves? Am I crazy for wanting my apartment to just be comfortable?
If the maintenance guys are refusing to acknowledge that there is a problem... What other options do I have?
What should I do?
