Hi everyone, after spending hours on google, this seems to be one of those things that's just not documented well online.
I live in a condo unit (1000sqft) with an HVAC system and a Honeywell T8000C thermostat.
If I set it to a temporary or hold of 21 degrees C (I'm Canadian), and put the Fan on Auto and System to Cool, I can hear the hum of the compressor kicking in and cold air comes out. However, after a while the compressor will stop and the cold air will not come out.
Normally, the AC will kick in every so often, but lately it just doesn't turn back on. I have a feeling its the thermostat, but wanted to check here to get another opinion.
Am I using my thermostat wrong? Or is something broken?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It sounds like your thermostat is in the correct position. I would try to replace the batteries in it, they could be getting low. If that does not do it, try turning the breakers for your AC off all the way for a few minutes, then back on. If it is still giving you issues, call a trusted professional. Good luck!
