We have been getting quotes for replacing our aging bottom line AC and furnace in Missouri. We are at least looking at a 2 Stage compressor and we can afford the cost to go up to a variable speed compressor. Our understanding is that the variable is slightly more efficient but primary improved comfort.
Thoughts on if the experience with the variable compressor would actually be noticeable or more of a gimmick for more money? Been quoted Trane and American Standard.
