Help programming a schedule to a smart thermostat.

Forgive me for my ignorance. I want to program my smart thermostat to run from 2pm to 11pm. Everyday. Seems like all smart thermostats are laid out as follows. Awake away home sleep. Can I just set the damn thing to run from 2pm to 11pm? Does it really need to know what time I'm awake and away etc? I want it to be off at all other hours
