So my furnace won’t stay lit; it’ll run for a few minutes tops then shut off. My oil company claimed it was the filters & nozzle, so they replaced them. The issue didn’t resolve so they then blamed the sparker and replaced that. The issue STILL didn’t resolve, so they then tried blaming my transformer. At this point I was fed up and made them do a voltage test on the transformer and it read a steady 24v, so that was ruled out. Now they’re blaming my ecobee smart thermostat. They made a mention about the noise coming from this box. They ran a jumper wire to force it to run long enough to get the house to temperature yesterday, then the ecobee managed to keep the house to temperature after that all day, but at night when it lowered temperature while we slept, it failed again to bring the temperature back up in the morning. I really don’t want to stop using my ecobee, as it’s not only incredibly convenient, but saves me a ton in fuel usage. Any ideas? All help is appreciated.
